RandomGens.com is run by Musa Tariq. This policy explains what data the site collects when you use the generators, why it is collected, who else can see it, and the choices you have. It covers randomgens.com and every tool hosted on it. If you disagree with anything here, the simplest remedy is to stop using the site, and you can email us with any question first.
Who we are and how to reach us
RandomGens is an independent site, not a company with a legal department. The data controller is Musa Tariq. For any privacy question, correction request or deletion request, email support@randomgens.com. We reply to privacy requests within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What we collect
Information you give us voluntarily
The only way you actively give us data is by emailing us or submitting the tool suggestion form. That means your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use it to reply, and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it or add it to a marketing list.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our server and our analytics and advertising partners record standard technical data when you visit:
- IP address, which is used to approximate your country and region
- Browser type and version, operating system and device type
- Pages you visited, the page that referred you, and time spent
- General interaction events such as clicks and scroll depth
- Date and time of the request
What we never collect
The generators run entirely in your browser. Passwords, barcodes, names, words and every other result the tools produce are created on your device and never sent to our server. We do not store them, we cannot see them, and we cannot recover them for you. We also do not ask for or store payment details, government identifiers, or health information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Web beacons and pixels do a similar job. We and our partners use them for the purposes below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the generators will keep working.

If you are in the EEA or the UK
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it is processed, and receive it in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing that already happened.
Our legal bases are: consent for analytics and personalised advertising, which you give or refuse through the consent banner; legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and preventing abuse; and legitimate interests for replying to an email you sent us. To exercise any right, email support@randomgens.com. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing data with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may count as sharing under California law, and you can opt out through the consent banner or the Google link above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children
RandomGens is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some generators are used in classrooms by teachers, and in that setting no account or personal data is required to use any tool. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to deal with your message and then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we do not hold data that would be valuable to an attacker.
International transfers
Our analytics and advertising partners operate globally, so data collected through them may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to external references such as USDA FoodData Central and the IUCN Red List. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site and their privacy policy applies, not ours.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date below. Material changes, such as adding a new category of data or a new advertising partner, will also be flagged on the site itself. Continuing to use RandomGens after a change means you accept the updated policy.
