Terms and Conditions

Site owner: Musa Tariq · Email: support@randomgens.com · Last updated: 10 September 2026

These terms cover your use of randomgens.com and every generator hosted on it. Using the site means you accept them. They are written to be readable rather than impressive, and if anything here is unclear, email support@randomgens.com and ask.

What RandomGens provides

RandomGens is a collection of free browser-based generators, currently covering food, drink, fruit, vegetables, animals, countries, cities, words, letters, objects, movies, passwords, barcodes, names for pets, teams and fantasy characters, debate motions, would-you-rather dilemmas and YouTube hooks. Around each tool sits reference content explaining how it works and where the data comes from.

No account is required. No payment is required. Nothing is behind a login. The site is funded entirely by advertising.

Who runs the site

RandomGens is owned and operated by Musa Tariq as an independent project. There is no company behind it, and support is provided by one person over email.

How you may use the tools

You may use the generators freely for personal, educational and commercial purposes. Specifically, all of this is fine:

  • Running a generator in a classroom, a workshop or a training session
  • Using a generated name for a pet, a team, a character or a business
  • Using a generated password for any account you control
  • Using generated barcodes on your own products, subject to the GTIN note below
  • Quoting a fact from a page with a link back to the page it came from
  • Using a generated prompt in a video, a stream or a piece of writing

What you may not do

  • Scrape, copy or republish the written content of this site as your own
  • Copy the underlying datasets in bulk to build a competing generator
  • Redistribute the photographs, which are licensed to us and not free to reuse
  • Attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site
  • Frame or embed the tools in a way that removes attribution or hides their source
  • Use the site for anything illegal, or in a way that harms other users

Generated results: what they are and are not

Outputs are produced by code running in your browser from curated datasets. We claim no ownership over any individual result and you owe us nothing for using one. Equally, a generated result carries no guarantee. A name may already be a trademark, a barcode number may already be assigned to someone else, and a password is only as safe as where you store it. Checking those things is your responsibility.

Barcodes and GTINs

The barcode tool encodes and check-digits the number you supply. It does not issue or register a GTIN. Numbers for retail sale must come from GS1 or an authorised source. We are not responsible for a code a retailer rejects.

Passwords

Passwords are generated locally and never reach our server. We cannot recover one for you under any circumstances.

Intellectual property

The written content, page structure, datasets and branding of RandomGens belong to Musa Tariq. Photographs are licensed from their rights holders. You may quote short passages with a link. You may not republish pages wholesale, with or without attribution.

Advertising

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Their presence is not an endorsement. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.

No warranty

The site and the tools are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or that any figure is correct for your specific case. See the Disclaimer for the detail on data accuracy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Musa Tariq and RandomGens are not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on anything published here.

Links to other sites

Pages link to external sources so you can verify our data. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.

These terms may be updated. The date below shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
